As the Founder, Thierry Basque holds the position of President and Chief Executive Officer at bluehome, an innovative company based in Canada. A visionary, he positions his company, bluehome, as a leader in the blue economy, emphasizing a viable and sustainable fishing industry to meet the food needs of coastal communities. Bluehome produces artificial reefs designed to restore marine ecosystems, with the goal of enhancing biodiversity and protecting multiple endangered species of fish and crustaceans.
Originally from Tracadie and born into a family of entrepreneurs, he was immersed from a young age in the importance of hard work and determination. Graduating from W.A. Losier School in Tracadie in 1997, he subsequently pursued various specialized training programs in the field of construction. His passion for masonry led him to earn his red seal from the New Brunswick Community College, affirming his expertise and dedication in his field.
In 2014, Thierry acquired Bastech Enterprises Inc., specializing in concrete and particularly renowned for its street curbs and sidewalk chains. He is also involved in the family business, Basque Construction Ltd, where, as Vice President, he works closely with his father Raymond and mother Yvette.
Beyond his professional career, Thierry is a devoted and loving father of five children, one daughter, and four sons. He proudly embraces this role, striving to be a role model for them while imparting the values of hard work, integrity, and solidarity that are dear to him.
